Designations

Application Form or apply online at www.AIFeducates.org

Congratulations to our current  ARPs and  RRPs!

The Associate Resort Professional (ARP) and Registered Resort Professional (RRP) are the premier designations for the vacation ownership industry. Demonstrate your knowledge and experience, as well as commitment to the industry and the ARDA Code of Standards & Ethics, by attaining one of these designations.

Requirements:
Both ARP and RRP applicants are required to be an ARDA Advantage, Trustee, or Chairman’s League member in good standing and must have successfully completed the AIF Qualification Test. ARPs should have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience and 6 credits, while RRPs need at least 5 years of experience and 10 credits.

Ways to earn credits:

  • Attending the ARDA Convention, Fall Conference, regional meetings, or other pre-approved seminar or meeting
  • Participating in an AIF webinar
  • Completing an approved self-study course
  • Earning another designation or license such as CTS, real estate, CAM, etc.
  • Receiving an ARDY award
  • Working in the industry for more than 2 years
  • Participating on an ARDA committee
  • Earning an educational degree from an institution of higher education
  • Publishing an article in Developments magazine
  • Serving as an ARDA Ambassador
  • Maintaining an ARDA Advantage membership

Tracking credits:
Now you can track your credits as you earn them! Visit the AIF Learning Center at www.AIFeducates.org to create your personal record and submit your application online once you have reached the minimum number of required credits. ARDA does not track individual credits, except when a credit record form is submitted for ARDA Conventions or other approved meetings.

Approval:
Applications are reviewed twice yearly by the Accreditation Board, and must be received by September 15 for the fall review or February 15 for the spring review. Accepted applicants will be notified via e-mail and will receive a certificate of achievement and lapel pin, and they will be listed on the ARDA Web site and in Developments magazine.

Maintaining a designation:
To maintain the designation, a current ARDA membership is required, as well as one of the following each year:

  • Participate on an ARDA committee
  • Attend an ARDA meeting or other ARDA-accredited meeting
  • Attend a session in the AIF Webinar series
  • Publish an article in Developments magazine
  • Purchase recordings of 3 sessions from the most recent ARDA Convention and submit the verification form
